چکیده

Pre-metaphase stretch is a term first coined by the preeminent cell biologist Sally Hughes-Schrader in 1950 to describe an elongation of prometaphase chromosomes observed primary spermatocytes phasmid insects and praying mantids. Research from many groups since Hughes-Schrader’s initial observation has revealed reasons for both how why might elongate prior metaphase. In this review, we findings discuss recent work illuminates provides some mechanistic explanation long-ago phenomenon.

A re-examination of the pollinator crisis

Reports of colony collapse disorder in bees and studies showing the toxicity of neonicotinoid pesticides have led to claims that we are experiencing a pollinator crisis. As Cyrus Martin reports, however, the issue is complex with threats to bees being multifold and the status of populations unclear due to a surprising lack of data.

A Re - Examination of the Term “ Crash ”

Since attention first turned to the problem of database recovery following system crash, computer architectures have undergone considerable evolution. One direction such evolution has taken is toward fault-tolerant, highly available, distributed database systems. One such architecture is characterized by a single system composed of multiple independent processors, each with its own memory. This...

A Re-examination of the Sunspot-

The economic activity in arid/semiarid areas of the western United States would seem to be much more influenced by weather than humid/semi humid areas since they are located marginally closer to major drought conditions at any moment in time. This paper reexamines the original “sunspot” theory of business cycles of William Stanley Jevons, the contributions of his son H. S. Jevons, and the furth...

Testing for Output Covergence: a Re-examination

This paper investigates output convergence for the G7 countries using panel time-series techniques. We consider both the null hypotheses of no convergence and convergence. It is shown that inferences on output convergence depend on which one of the two null hypotheses is considered. Further, the no convergence results reported in previous studies using the time-series definition may be attribut...

A Re-examination of Question Classification

This paper presents a re-examiniation of previous work on machine learning techniques for questions classification, as well as results from new experiments. The results suggest that some of the work done in the field have yielded biased results. The results also suggest that Naı̈ve Bayes, Decision Trees and Support Vector Machines perform on par with each other when faced with actual users’ ques...
